ALAIN LE SANN It is with great sadness that we announce the accidental passing of our father, grandfather, and brother, Alain Le Sann of Lac des Arcs, AB on June 15, 2013 in Elie, MB. Alain was predeceased by his wife Doris Juedson, his parents Euphrasie Kerleoux and Alain Le Sann, his sister Anne-Marie Bansfield, and his brothers-in-law Max McCreight and Normand Bernard. Memories of Alain's life will be treasured by his family - daughter Tracey; granddaughters Samantha and Sarah; his brothers and sisters Marie McCreight, twin sister Aline (Joe Raverty), Yves (Ellie Olafson), Euphrasie (Hubert Clement), Armand (Kathy Shand), Josephine Bernard, his sister-in-law Emma Le Sann, brother-in-law Irving Bansfield, and many nephews, nieces, and friends. For years, Alain was transportation manager of Tri-Line Freight Systems and production coordinator of Chieftain Trailer Industries where his machinery designs and expertise were recognized. He enjoyed many years at Lac des Arcs, AB in the home that he and Doris built in the Rocky Mountains, where he admired and knew every mount, mountain, and lake by name and classification. Mass of the Christian Burial for Alain Le Sann and his brother Frank Le Sann will be celebrated by Father Legitemas on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Blessed Sacrament Parish Church in Elie, MB with private interment to follow in the parish cemetery. The family would like to thank the Cartier Paramedics and Fire Department and the Headingley R.C.M.P. for their courtesy, time and kindness. Adams Funeral Home of Elie, Manitoba is in care of arrangements. Phone 1-204-248-2201. www.afh.ca

  • We are so sad to learn of this tragedy. Al and Doris were the first friends we made in Lac Des Arcs when we arrived 21 years ago. Many projects were planned, problems solved, and meals eaten at our table. Al was the first to jump in and help as a friend. In good times and bad he was a true friend to all. I especially felt great comfort knowing he was across the road. It was hard to reach Al by phone as it was usually busy. He kept in touch with family and friends around the world and shared his love and pride in them all. To all his family, we are so sorry for your loss. We feel it too. Tracey, Sarah, and Samantha we send our love. - Posted by: Laurie & Bjorn Christiansen (Neighbours & friends) on: Jun 20, 2013

  • We have been so thankful to have Al as a neighbour and friend. He took care of every home in Lac Des Arcs as if it were his own. I miss him everyday! His sense of humour was special. His caring and help over the years unbelievable! Our thoughts are with Tracy and family. - Posted by: Carol and Mark (Friends/ neighbours) on: Jun 19, 2013

  • Maurice and I wish to express our sadness to Tracy, her daughters and the family on the recent passing of Alain. Because of distance we didn't see Alain often, but on one occasion I remember the pride he felt and expressed when he became a grandfather. - Posted by: Elaine Cyr (cousin) on: Jun 19, 2013

  • We are very saddened by Al's passing as he was a part of our lives for 50 plus years. We enjoyed the many family dinners, gatherings and celebrations. Garth and Al would talk for hours about trucks and cars. Patti remembers Al and her dancing the polka at our wedding until he ran out of breath. Our recent visit with Al will be memorable. Thanks for the memories. - Posted by: Garth And Patti Marrale (Grandson Brent, Great Grandson Emet.
