ALBERTA BOMAK It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Alberta Bomak on June 19, 2013 at the age of 71 years. Alberta was born in Dauphin, MB on March 15, 1942. The youngest daughter of Albert and Geraldine Britcher, who instilled a deep, lasting faith in their children. She was raised in the beauty of the Duck Mountains until the age of 10 and considered these the best years of her life, being close to all of God's creations. Alberta was predeceased by her husband Tony Bomak. Her life was forever changed without the companion that had brightened her life for 40 years. She was also predeceased by her parents. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Karen (Reid) and grandson Riley; sister Betty (Ed); nephew Brian (Susan), children Heather and Shelby; niece Brenda (Dan), children Tarryl and Kylee; brothers and sisters-in-law Mike and Helen, John and Evelyn, Mary and friend Len, and numerous extended family and friends. Mom's greatest joys were simple and pure - spending time with family and friends enjoying the company of others, and lending a hand whenever and wherever she could be of service. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and a true friend. Nature in all its forms was where Bert's heart belonged, especially the crocus field on the hills of Bield, but nowhere was she more at home than in her wonderful garden. Prayers will be offered on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection in Dauphin. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection in Dauphin. In lieu of flowers, Bert would like to recognize everyone who took care of her over the years. Her message to all is, Know from my heart how much I remember the kind deeds my friends and family did for me. I ask that each of you do something good and make the same difference in the life of someone else. This compassionate caring has made my life much fuller, longer and more meaningful . Donations gratefully appreciated for Canadian Diabetes Association and the Canadian Cancer Society. Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Services (204) 638-4110 www.sneathstrilchuk.com

Karen and family, your loss is also ours. Your Mom was an ever-present part of the Dauphin neighbourhood and it was always a relief to know that she and my mom could look out for each other. She was always positive and optimistic and my memories of her are often those of her laughing and smiling. Please know that Don, the kids and I have you all in our thoughts and prayers. She will be missed. - Posted by: Susan MacKenzie (Neighbour) on: Jun 24, 2013

Karen and family, When we were all growing up and our family visited the Britchers, who operated the sawmill along PTH#5, Alberta was the quiet girl, always reserved and polite. After growing up, she became a rock solid person of tremendous values and pleasant personality. She always had a positive attitude. She understood right from wrong and had a deep sense of commitment. Truly a wonderful person who enhanced the lives of people who knew her. Mavis joins me in extending condolences to you and your family.
