MARJORIE MARIE PATRICIA HOPKINS (nee WELLS) Born June10, 1938 With her family at her side, Marge passed away on June 19, 2013. She had just celebrated her 75th birthday. Marge was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba. She eventually settled down in Winnipeg. She worked at the Victoria Hospital and then at Food Systems. She made many good friends at the hospital, and at the various cafeterias she worked at throughout the years. After she retired she discovered the computer age. She loved playing gin and cribbage with her many Internet friends. She will be sadly missed by all of them. Marge is survived by her three children, Cathy (Patrick), Brian (Michelle), and Cindy, her sister Dell Parks in Oregon, brother Keith in Ontario, her grandchildren, a great- grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Helen (Goulet) and her brother Dale. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Palliative Care Unit for the excellent care and assistance they provided, both at home, and at Riverview Palliative Care Ward. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Care Manitoba. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 26 at Thomson "In the Park" Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Blvd, Winnipeg, at 12:30 p.m. Immediately following the service, a lunch will be served at the Fort Garry Legion #90, 1125 Pembina Hwy. • Aunt Marge was a very fun person, she loved to laugh and joke. I miss you and I wish the last part of your life would have been easier for you... and you could have had more of us family surrounding you. I will see you again, on the other side ~ Love you ~ XOXO - Posted by: Beth Goulet-Hillier (niece ) on: Nov 12, 2013

  • Just wanted to pass along my condolences to the family. Losing a mother is never easy even if you know it's coming. The pain of losing her will be easier over time and the memories will be something you will cherish more and more as time passes. My sympathies to all of you! - Posted by: Bernie savoie (Friend ofCathy and Pat, Brian and Michelle) on: Jun 24, 2013
