Val and I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Aunty Terry, Paulette, Gilles and all the family for the sad loss of Uncle Alec. My fondest memories as a child were travelling through the rolling hills to get to Somerset and the restaurant. The scenery was probably nice but we knew that there was ice cream at the restaurant!! It was always such a pleasure to sit and listen to all the stories in a way that only Uncle Alec could tell. His wit, big smile and always friendly greeting will be missed but always remembered. Our prayer will be with you all. - Posted by: Glen & Valerie Bergeron (Nephew) on: Jun 29, 2013

Memories of Terry and Alex Vielfaure will always be with me as well as those of Paulette and Gilles. As a rotten teenager I spent a lot of time there after skating and curling. Always good company and good food!! After my Mom passed away Alex and Terry were like family to my Dad (Walter Clemis). He was sitting on the third stool by 10:00 every morning. You were family to him then Terry and I will never forget the way you and Alex treated him so royally. My thoughts are with all of you at this time. He will be missed by so many. God bless you all and give you strength. - Posted by: Linda (Clemis) Ritchie (long time ago customer :)) on: Jun 29, 2013

My siblings and I would not be here if not for Uncle Alex and Aunt Terry (my namesake) because my parents met while my Mom was working at their restaurant. Mom gave Dad the bigger piece of raisin pie and it was true love. Fond memories of visiting Auntie, Uncle and cousins in Somerset. Our sympathies to Aunt Terry, cousins Gilles, Paulette and their families. Love Terry, Dawn, Bryant, Matthew and Jacob. - Posted by: Terry McMillan (nephew) on: Jun 27, 2013

Alex & Terry provided many of us with a job when it was in great need. In the restaurant business bottles had to be sorted, water was fetched from the Town well, at least it was at the Corner of the street and the handles of the pails cut in my tender young hands which soon became very tough. Cherry pie & Raisin pie were always on the menu....of course with Ice-cream. Drinks in the water type cooler, soup cans in the trays, jaw breakers, bubble gum were popular items....stools around the counter provided a place for many locals to shoot the breeze while smoking. (No weed at that time)...lot's of laugh and many problems solved for all. etc etc. Super memories...rest in peace, Alex, you well deserve it...Terry, we will come to see you. Our sympathies to you, Paulette, Gilles and their family.....Don & Louise. - Posted by: Donald & Louise Thevenot (Friend & Ex-employer) on: Jun 27, 2013

I will never forget going with Gilles and his mom and dad touring around the country to check the fields. I used to love meeting Gilles at his dad's restaurant and ordering a burger and a 16 oz. Pepsi. Some good. Jane and I Alcide Boulet would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Terry and all of his family. Alex was a warm and loving man who was 1 of the best schoolbus drivers in the mountain division. He will be missed by many people. May he rest in peace. - Posted by: Alcide Boulet (Friend of the family) on: Jun 26, 2013
