EMILY GULEWICH It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emily Gulewich on June 20, 2013 at the Grandview Personal Care Home at the age of 95 years. Emily leaves to cherish her memory, her children Orest (Mae), Olive, and Ed (Wendy); eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Emily was predeceased by her husband John, her youngest son Ron and grandson Grant Rody. Mom was born March 10, 1918 in Oakburn, Manitoba. As a young woman, she met John in Grandview where they married and raised their family. Mom loved working in her vegetable and flower gardens. She also loved her shopping trips and going to the KFC for chicken in Dauphin. Mom had various part-time jobs over the years, but her biggest joy was raising her family and visits from the grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at the Grandview Personal Care Home for their care and compassion. Thank you to family and friends who dropped by to visit Mom. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Chapel in Dauphin.
