Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBAL SINGH (KAHLON) April, 1922 - June, 2013 Our Revered Papa Ji peacefully passed away on June 27, 2013 in Seven Oaks Hospital after a short illness. He is survived by his wife Smt. Satwant Kaur, son Tejwant S. Kahlon (Devinder Kaur), daughter Kulwant Kaur Sandhu (Rajinder S. Sandhu), nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Baljit S. Kahlon (Gurinder Kaur). Papa Ji was born in Village Chak, now in Pakistan on April 18, 1922. He was employed as Block Development Officer in the Punjab Government and migrated to Canada to join his family in 1981. He adjusted very well to the new atmosphere and enjoyed his life in Winnipeg. Papa Ji will be missed not only by his family members, but also by his friends and neighbors. Viewing time will be prior to the service on Monday, July 1, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2013 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home. Following the funeral service will be the Bhog of Akhand Path at 4:30 p.m. in the Gurdwara Singh Sabha, 4000 Sturgeon Rd., Winnipeg, MB.
