Rick will be missed by his daughter Jennifer, sons Paul and Ryan, grandson Tyler, sister Patti, brother Dwight, cat Oscar, and other family and friends. Rick was predeceased by his parents Jean and Oscar, and his brothers Brett and Danny. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1006 Nairn Ave. "Dad, a million times we will need you, a million times we will cry. If love could have saved you, you never would have died. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. For a part of us went with you the day God took you home." Rick, I'm sure you are singing and playing guitar in your new home. You have a lot of people that love you and miss you, including me. Your children must have great memories of you....both your laughter and kindness....ran very deep. Our Dad will always be in our hearts and will always be missed. It has been almost a year and still feels like yesterday. What I would do to pick up the phone and hear "hey kid" oh what I would give but I know that he is always around us keeping us safe and playing jokes on us because he was that kinda guy, always the funny out spoken one with a messed up sense of humour (this is where we get it from Paul) Love you Daddy and see you on the flip side <3 RIP DADDY - Posted by: Jennifer Blix (Daughter ) on: Jun 17, 2014

My dad was a pretty straightforward kinda guy, I learned everything from him, and I also learned how to be a survivor living with him most of my life. Dad, I love you and hopefully we can connect in the next dimension. But, for now, you could always come and say hi in my dreams.
