NORMA JUNE NABOZNIAK (nee RICKER) After a lengthy illness, June peacefully passed away with her loving family by her side, at the age of 73 years on Thursday, June 27, 2013. June is survived by her six children Lynne (Lawrence), Barb, John (Bette), Mike (Char), Michele (Allan) and Tanis (Terry); six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. June is predeceased by her parents Joe and Pearl Ricker; sisters Loretta and Mildred; husband Joe and grandson Wayne. June enjoyed family and friends. She loved old time country music, dancing and socializing. She had a good sense of humour and it stayed strong right till the end. June enjoyed cooking and many Sundays were spent having dinners at her house. We would like to thank Dr. Zoppa for his care of our mom, and the nurses/staff of Palliative care at the Selkirk and District General Hospital. In her last weeks she was definitely surrounded by angels. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date. The time had come for you to sleep The pain you were in went too deep Now you're peaceful and at rest For all eternity you'll have the best Rest in peace Mom Donations may be made to Canadian Parkinsons Society or Canadian Cancer Society Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
