EDITH GAGEN April 30, 1938 - July 6, 2013 Peacefully, with her family by her side, our beloved Mother, Edith Gagen went home to be with the Lord on July 6, 2013, at the age of 75 years. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at the Chief Cornerstone Church, 384 Talbot Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In celebration of Mom's life, a wake service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Both services will take place at the Fairford House of Prayer, with Pastor Wilfred Bruce and Rev. Donald Gould officiating. Interment will follow at the Gypsumville Cemetery. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at both the Lakeshore General Hospital and the Dauphin Hospital, with special mention of Kitty, Ramsey, Clifford and Julie. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom's memory can be made to: CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. If Edith's life was to touch someone she sure touched mine and my wife and children's. Edith helped me and my wife in our earlier walk with the Lord. She was always giving and caring to my family and was always there when we didn't understand our walk with the Lord.
