RALPH GRANT Ralph Grant, 87, peacefully passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 at St. Boniface Hospital with his wife by his side. Ralph will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marie A. Grant, and his three children, Connie Colgan of Colorado, Donna McFarlane of Colorado and Susan Grant of Winnipeg. He also leaves behind his three grandchildren Johnathan McFarlane of Toronto, Christopher McFarlane of Colorado and Jessica Sorber of Colorado. Ralph Grant was an engineer who dedicated over 60 years of his life to the railroad. Ralph was a founding father of the Vintage Locomotive Society in 1968 which built the Prairie Dog Central that still runs today. He was also an active member of the Shrine Pipeband for many years. Ralph enjoyed spending his summers in Sandy Hook with his family and friends. He will be missed by everyone who was blessed to know him. A celebration of Ralph's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Vintage Locomotive Society or the Khartum Temple Shrine Pipeband.
