I would like to offer late condolences to Linda's family. I just found out Linda passed away 5 years ago. Linda and I were school mates at Alexander Ross and I was a closer friend to Lori, but did spend time around Linda. Even though that was in the late 1970s, I can still picture her face and also recall her pretty smile. It's moments like this, we regret not staying in touch with our childhood friends and classmates. From all the condolences everyone is sharing, it definitely sounds like Linda grew into a beautiful and loving lady. Although you are gone from this world Linda, you will forever be in the hearts and thoughts of everyone that had the honor of knowing you. - Posted by: David McIntyre (Former school mate) on: Jul 09, 2018

I have beautiful memories of Linda during our school years at Alexander Ross. Those were the critical years of our development, the influential years. Where we had to grow up and become more responsible. They were good times. She always made us smile and laugh. She had a kind heart. Very fun to be around! She will be missed by all who knew her. My sincerest sympathies to Lori and her siblings and mom, and extended family. So very sorry to hear of your loss. - Posted by: Tammy Mulligan (Essery) (Friend) on: Aug 06, 2013

My sincerest condolences to the Roy family in the loss of Linda. I remember Linda as a wee one in Pinawa (the cutest twins), and see she had grown to be a beautiful woman. Cherish the laughs and good times.....and remember "When you lose someone you Love, you gain an Angel you know...." Author unkown. Thinking of you all very much. - Posted by: Cathie Agland (Friend of Brenda / Donna and family) on: Aug 06, 2013

I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful girl. Linda if I had known that you were sick I would have spent less time with others and more time with you. I remember when you would always make me laugh in class at Alexander Ross School and how silly we all could be, you made an outsider feel like she was an insider in a instant, and you and your twin sister would always invite me to have lunch at your house during school hours, I have such good memories of us always laughing and joking around. You're in my heart and will be missed by every one who you have touched, any one who has known you, I love you Linda and will miss your smiling face, you were taken way too young, you will always be in my heart, love Deb - Posted by: Deborah (Debbie) La Plante (childhood friend) on: Aug 06, 2013

Condolences to Donna and family. I unfortunately never got to know Linda as an adult, only remember her as a sweet little girl in Pinawa. We lived across from the family on Patterson and I spent many hours at the Roy home playing with Donna and the girls, where I always felt very welcome. Donna and I would dress the twins up and pretend that they were our dolls, fun memories. From the other tributes I can see that Linda grew into a loving, very special woman. We are very very sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Cheryl (Graham) & Mike Thomas (friend of family) on: Aug 05, 2013

My love, thoughts and prayers go out to Pete, Marilyn, Lori and all of the Roy family....there are no words that could possibly express the heartbreak we all feel over losing a beautiful soul like Linda. She was my rock, my confidant, my best friend, and my "sister from another mister." Generous, proud and full of love and laughter, she is now the angel in heaven that she was for me here on earth. I love you Linda, You were a beacon of love and light for everyone who crossed your path; I can honestly say that I am so proud and fortunate to have been able to call you a friend. I love you Linda Marilyn Roy!! xox See ya later alligator! Until we meet again...one more thing; for your family and I to remember: "Though I am dead, grieve not for me with tears, Think not of death, with sorrowing and fears, I am so near that every tear you shed, Touches and tortures me, though you think me dead... But when you laugh and sing in glad delight, My soul is lifted upward to the Light, Laugh and be glad for all that Life is giving, And I though dead, will share your joy in LIVING." My deepest sympathy goes out to each and every member of your family for the sudden loss of someone so young. I have known Linda since I moved to Buchanan in 1979. She and my oldest daughter Cari were good friends. It's been awhile since I had seen her, but we played many games of Scrabble on line. Please accept my deepest sympathy at this time and know that she will live on in the hearts of many. She's up in Heaven now watching over us all. She was a free spirit, and will be missed. - Posted by: Diane Rumpel (Friend) on: Aug 02, 2013

Linda had a kind spirit, warm heart, and her laughter showed how much she loved life. I was lucky to have her as my cousin. My thoughts are with all of Linda's close friends and family members in Manitoba. I hope that your shared memories of Linda help to console you at this time, and keep her close to you in the years to come. Much love to all of you, Corinne - Posted by: Corinne Kubota (Cousin) on: Aug 01, 2013

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to Lori and the entire Roy family. My heart is broken at the news of Linda's passing. She has created a legacy that most could only hope for....she left us with nothing but beauty and kindness and happiness and every life she touched is feeling this loss. Linda has a spirit larger than life...and heaven isn't far enough for her not to continue to shine and light up our lives. She could turn the world on with her smile.... - Posted by: Donna Strickland (Friend) on: Jul 31, 2013
