I worked with Kathie for four years at the Admissions Office and she was always kind and patient, ready to lend a helping hand to others in the workplace. My favorite memories of Kathie were our coffee breaks. We all enjoyed talking about astrology, among other fun topics and with the wide range of personalities in our coffee group, her sense of humour was always welcome. - Posted by: Elizabeth Taylor (colleague) on: Aug 03, 2013

John, Elizabeth and Cameron for each moment of sorrow, we wish you a day of comfort; for each hour of grief we wish you a year of peace and for each year, we wish you a thousand wonderful memories. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. We hope that your warm memories of Kathie as a wife and Mother will ease your sadness and comfort your heart. - Posted by: Nadja and AJ Fernando (colleagues) on: Aug 02, 2013

Kathie was a colleague from 1972 to 2002 when I retired from the University of Manitoba. She was a person of great energy, with a welcoming smile which students and their families appreciated. Kathie understood that no good deed goes unpunished yet persevered in doing as much as she could for everyone whom she met and especially in advising and assisting newcomers to the Admissions Office. She was admired for her personality which was most plesant and her kindness which was boundless. A sad day for a lady in whose presence we were all humbled. Rest in peace Kathie. - Posted by: Charles Paragg (Colleague) on: Jul 31, 2013
