EUNICE DEVONA MATILDA BALDWIN (MALONEY) July 5, 1930 - August 1, 2013 Peacefully at home, after a short battle with cancer, Devona is at rest with her maker. She leaves to mourn her loving husband Barry, son Sandy (Carole), daughter Kelly, grandchildren Ian, Sean (Naz), Brenna (Corey) and Jillian; many family and friends including her cousin Flora (Bob) who was like a sister to her, will miss her dearly. Devona was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She was born in Belmont, MB, and moved to Winnipeg at the age of six. Devona and Barry met in 1950 where they enjoyed riding horses at Glenmore Stables and were married for 58 years. She was a long standing member of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, a lifetime member of the Canadian Kennel Club and donated her time generously to many causes. She enjoyed many summers at Pelican Lake. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church at the corner of Donald and Graham at 1:00 p.m., reception to follow. Special thanks to all the staff at the Victoria Hospital and Palliative Care Program. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Devona's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society. To Barry, Sandy and Kelly. Growing up with you, I have many memories of the lake and at our homes. All the birthday parties, New Years parties and just our families spending time together. I was so sad to hear of Devona's passing. I met Devona and Barry years ago when they were still actively showing their lovely Bull mastiffs. It is so sad to hear of Grandma passing. she welcomed me into your family when I was 10 years old due to Kelly becoming my Big Sister through the Big Sister Association. Grandma was so much fun to be around, I will hold dear to my heart the wonderful memories of being at their house with all the dogs they would raise and that goat they had, also the wonderful memories at Pelican Lake.
