HYACINTH JACQUELINE ROBERTS February 16, 1934 - July 25, 2013 On Thursday, July 25, 2013, Hyacinth passed away peacefully at Health Sciences Centre at the age of 79. She is predeceased by her parents Roland and Gladys Smith, and her sister Joy. She leaves to mourn her husband Sidney, children Pauline, Carrol, Barbara, Marlene, Anthony, Marjorie and Cherry, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her sisters Daphne, Patsy, Vilma; brothers Wesley and Fitz Roy; sisters-in-law Dorothy Barrett, Claudette Roberts; family friend Faye Cole, and many nieces and nephews in England, New York and Jamaica. Hyacinth was born in St. Thomas, Jamaica on February 16, 1934. She moved to London, England in 1960, where she met her husband of 50 years, before moving to Canada in December, 1973 and worked in the Health Care field for many years. The Family wishes to thank the Bus Driver on #33 Winnipeg Transit, Doctors and Nurses response team at Health Sciences Centre Emergency for their care, the many relatives and friends for their support and love in our time of bereavement. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Calvary Temple Church, 440 Hargrave Street at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow in the lower hall.   • I have known HYACINTH for the past 29 years. She was a wonderful person to know and loved all her children and Grandchildren. She will be missed by her husband Sydney, her children, Grandchildren and her relatives and close friends.   • Our children played together for a few years until we moved away. Hyacinth was always smiling! I remember her as a very gentle caring lady and she loved her Pauline and Carrol very much.
