Condolences & Memories (11 entries)

  • We met Bob and Glenda when we first moved in as neighbors in 2003. He was always a pleasant smile looking over the fence and offering help on how to do different projects. We are so sorry that we were not home at the time of his passing as we were away on holidays. Bob you will be missed. - Posted by: Ed and Kim Brunner (Neighbours) on: Aug 27, 2013

  • Bob was my first cousin, adopted brother when I was younger and I'm convinced that secretly, he always wanted to be a "Cormier". Bob claimed that the only reason the Cormiers had landed in Canada before the Alarys was because they had tied a rope to our boat and had let us row all the way from Europe while they partied on! Bob was my first boss at Twin City Painting and Sandblasting. I was 15 and given 2 very important responsibilities...that of ensuring the beer was cold and designated driver (without a valid license). We will miss his "joie de vivre" and unforgettable smile. Deb and I wanted all of you; Glenda, your children Victoria, Richard, Jo-Anne and Paul, as well as Mariette, Denis and Gerald and your families to know that you are in our thoughts and our hearts. We will miss you Bob. - Posted by: Rhéal and Debbie Cormier (Cousins) on: Aug 15, 2013

  • I just heard the sad news and wanted to wish Glenda and the family my heartfelt condolences. I am now living in Edmonton. - Posted by: Eileen Asselstine (friend and former workmate of Glenda) on: Aug 13, 2013

  • We could always count on Bob... A true friend... - Posted by: Mary-Anne Lougheed (Friend) on: Aug 12, 2013

  • I met Bob when I started work for the province in 1976. We became very good friends. We hunted, fished, and partied together. Bob was to me, my best friend. We may have had differences at times, but we settled things over a couple of beers. I will miss him immensely and never forget him. From our family our condolences and love goes out to the family. Miss you Bob! - Posted by: Fred sokolosky (Friend) on: Aug 12, 2013

  • I met Bob when Vicki was sixteen and experienced the same gruff exterior that any father reserves for his daughter's friends. But I soon learned that everyone was welcome in the Alary home. Repose en paix, Monsieur Alary. - Posted by: Kevin Furutani (friend of his children) on: Aug 12, 2013

  • We are sorry for your loss, Bob was a great neighbour, enjoyed his sense of humor and chats in the yard. He will be missed. - Posted by: David and Pam Keith (Neighbours) on: Aug 11, 2013

  • I am Bob's first cousin, parents of Matt & Yvette Duprey originally from St. Elizabeth. My wife Jocelyne & I live in Tampa Bay Florida and my daughter Ashlee lives in San Francisco. Bob was an outstanding individual, very caring, great personality, family man, always willing to give anyone a helping hand. Everyone loved Bob, he was fun, generous and great to be around. Our deepest condolences to Glenda and their children, Claudette, Dennis & Jerry and all his friends and family. - Posted by: Mark, Jocelyne & Ashlee Duprey (first cousin) on: Aug 11, 2013

  • I met Mr. Alary after Earl Bestland and his friend Sharon brought Richard to Rocky Lake near The Pas one summer to fish and meet other relatives there. My deepest condolences to you Glenda, Richard and Élan, and your family. Your father was a really awesome guy. Take care and cherish the good times.
