Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON GERARD MARKS July 22, 1962 - August 13, 2013 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Gordon Gerard Marks, aged 51 years. He leaves his wife Pam; daughter Skylynn; stepson Brendan (Sigurdson); mother Lucy; sisters Gerri (Len) and Marilyn (Ed); brothers Dennis, Richard (Cathy), Don (Judy) and Jason (Courtney); mother-in-law Carol; sister-in-law Barb; and brother-in-law Ken (Vicki); many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father Joe C. Marks. Gord grew up in Berlo, MB, where he farmed the family farm for more than 30 years. Farming was his life and he worked hard. He made sure his family, friends and animals were happy. He never missed a day without his two loyal companions, OV and Buff, checking the cattle and anything that needed to be done. He especially loved his daughter Skylynn and attended many horse shows to be her #1 fan or just her right hand man. He was uncle Gord to everyone, fun loving and kind. He would make sure everyone else was looked after, before himself. Never too busy to lend a hand. He will be forever missed and in our hearts, but never forgotten. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli, MB, with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at the Berlo Cemetery. Long before we're ready, we sadly say goodbye, but there are those in a far more beautiful place, who are saying, "Welcome Home".
