• Helen was a very special person and dear friend to me. We met 56 years ago when we were just kids teaching together at Daerwood School in Selkirk MB. She was the type of friend that miles and time never change. My thoughts and sympathies are with Roy, Alan, Gary and Mary. • Mary, Roy, Gary & Allen, We were so fortunate to have Helen teach both Jennifer and Lauren. They loved her and we always enjoyed our parent teacher interviews with her. It was always evident that she truly loved her job. She was highly respected by all who knew her. • Helen, it was so good to get to see you and your family on July 30 of this year. I feel honored to have met you and am saddened that I didn't get to know you better. I will always remember when you and Roy had me stay at your place overnight when I was driving to my new job in Ontario, you sent me on my way in the morning with a stack of hearty sandwiches to keep me going through another long driving day. your gesture was my most memorable experience from that long drive :) My thoughts are with your family at this time.
