Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA VILLATORO January 23, 1932 August 14, 2013 Peacefully, after a sudden illness, it is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our Yaya, our Mama, Maria Garcia Esteve Villatoro at the age of 81 years. Maria was predeceased by both of her parents as well as her loving husband and sweetheart, Francisco. Left to celebrate her memory are two brothers, Adolpho (MariaAmparo) and Rafael (Maruja), both still living in Spain, her daughters Maria (Rick) and Elena (Colin), grandson Stephen (Michelle), granddaughters Rebecca and Angela, great-grandson, Luca, her very special cousin Teresin, as well as many, many nieces and nephews still living in Spain. Although Yaya greatly enjoyed her last few years with her family, she missed her "carino" and we are sure they are together and both happy again. There will be a small graveside get-together and interment at the Transcona Cemetery on Monday, August 19,2013 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a gathering to celebrate her life for family and friends at Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery & Crematorium, 1800 Day St. in Transcona. The family would like to thank Dr. Ormiston for his care over the years, Concordia Hospital N3E nursing staff (Cherry, Anna, Julie, Candace, Ivar, Laura, and others) for their exceptional care during Yaya's last few weeks. As well thanks to Greg, Homecare Coordinator and special thanks to Lanka for her special and gentle touch with Yaya over the last few years. Such a beautiful lady. Rest in peace Yaya I will always remember Yayo teaching me how to count in Spanish while we sat and had coffee together at McDonald's You couldn't stop laughing at me. Your laugh and smile I will always remember.
