WESLEY DARREN SWAIN April 27, 1961-August 21, 2013 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Wesley Swain, on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at the age of 52, at the Selkirk General Hospital. Wes started working as a welder at the age of 18, working for one year before starting his 33 year career at MRM in Selkirk. Wes will always be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years Sandy; children Amanda (Tony) and Thomas (Kristin); grandchildren Coen, Bentley and Kienan; brothers Doug (Dawn), Cecil; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. Wes was predeceased by his mother Olive Swain in 1986, and his father Stewart Swain in 1990; also his mother-in-law Lorraine Stamm in 1989, and father-in-law Archie Stamm in 2004. Wes was always an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed getting together with family and friends over beers and his favorite music, which was always heard playing at the house. He was a family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed Sunday suppers with his children and grandchildren every week. A heartfelt thank you to the doctors, paramedics and nurses at the Selkirk General Hospital. The family would also like to send a special thank you to his cousin Dwight Swain. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline Street, in Selkirk. Tea to follow at the Selkirk Friendship Centre, 425 Eveline Street in Selkirk. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
