Robert, Diane and family - thank you for sharing your Mom with us. I will always treasure the fun times I had visiting your farm when I was growing up. Playing in the hay loft, bringing kittens home, trying to milk a cow, finding eggs. I remember when I learned about "pasteurization" (grade 2?) Auntie Katie would put the fresh cow's milk in a quart at her back door so I would drink it! She always had a twinkle in her eye and a warm welcoming smile! It was a privilege to have been her niece. My sincere condolences. Cynthia Grant (Smerchanski) - Posted by: Cynthia Grant ( Smerchanski ) (Niece ) on: Aug 29, 2013

Katie was a delightful feisty lady. She loved her bingo, cards and friends. And she loved to win! She was like a little kid, so excited when she could yell "Bingo". She told me many a story while I visited in the Whitemouth PCH I will miss her. My condolences to all. - Posted by: Carol Ans (friend) on: Aug 29, 2013

Auntie Katie was the keeper of the family history. I was amazed to see all the wedding pictures and family photos that she has kept over the years. She loved doing crafts and her home was always filled with them. A visit to Auntie Kay's house always came with a great meal (not low cal), interesting conversation and family information and knowledge passed along. She will truly be missed. - Posted by: Irene Bradley (nee Silinski) (Neice) on: Aug 29, 2013
