NICHOLAS BODNICK
Born: Nov 23, 1922
Date of Passing: Aug 29, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICHOLAS BODNICK It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear brother and Uncle Nick on August 29, 2013 at the age of 90. He will be fondly remembered by his only surviving sibling, Anne and many nieces and nephews. He was the baby of the family and was constantly doted on by his sister Anne whom he lived with for 58 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Anne and Max, his brothers Donald, Peter and Mike and sisters May, Josie, Lena and Katie. Nick was born in Meleb, MB on November 23, 1922. He left the family farm as a young man to work in the mines in Ontario with his brother Peter. When he returned to Winnipeg, he worked for 33 years at Farmers Abattoir as a dedicated and dependable employee. Uncle Nick was an old soul with sparkling blue eyes. He was gentle, caring and had a kind heart. He was soft spoken, never complained and he enjoyed a simple but fulfilled life. Uncle Nick loved spending time outdoors and especially loved the family get-togethers. When asked if he had fun, he always said he had a "Grand" time. He also enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going to the casino. He will be sadly missed by everyone that knew him, especially his nieces Louise and Judi who were able to spend much time with him over the years. Flowers gratefully declined. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 4 10:00 a.m. at Thompson "In the Park", 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Winnipeg, MB, R3T 5Y4. Interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery.
