TREVOR ROBINSON November 19, 1969 September 3, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear son and brother. Trevor was born in Gimli, later moving to Winnipeg where he lived until his death. As a young boy he loved to play hockey and talk a lot which he never grew out of. He travelled all over the world as he played with the National Canadian Rugby team, for years, which he enjoyed very much. Trevor was also a coach for a young boys' team of basketball, he loved to be around young children. This year he acted in a movie that was being filmed in Winnipeg. Trevor is survived by his mother Carol, brother Troy (Cindy); uncles Darold, Merle and Duane Coldwell; girlfriend Nicole, special friend of many years Shirley. We will love and miss you always. Cremation will take place and no formal service will be held. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

  • Very sorry to hear this, Trevor was an influence in my life when I lived in Garden City.. was an inspiration, loved hockey. I moved away in 2008 after loosing my mom, just moved back so so sorry... I know he really enjoyed his salted fish, a beer or 2, I never had a single argument with this man, had him out to a few gigs. My goodness I'm shocked. I'm sorry for his family.. I used to go to his place off Lila, wow what can I say.. Beni Dibra - Posted by: Ben Dibra (Friend ) on: Oct 25, 2016

  • I got the opportunity to meet Trevor when he interviewed me for my apt. We hit it off immediately and said I would be a good fit to the Co-op. I didnt know Trevor that well, but talked to him every time he would go by my house. He also liked my little dog Lewy. I saw Trevor on Monday morning when I was watering my grass and he seemed to be in a great mood. He played a bit with Lewy on his lap and we just talked about the weather. Trevor was a very sweet man with a heart of gold! We will miss you dear Trevor. Rest in peace my friend - Posted by: Arlie-Ann Sigurdson (Friend) on: Sep 11, 2013

  • I'm saddened by the loss of Trevor. In all my memories of him, through high school and in the years since he was always smiling. As my kids were getting ready for school this year, I was talking about my bus ride to school in Selkirk from Gimli. Trevor's was the last stop and as we were all stretched out taking up two seats, he would jump over all of our knees to get to the back and I'd say "good morning Trev" as he went over. In more recent years I ran into him pretty often as we've been in the same neighbourhood, most often when he was at the Wellness Institute shooting hoops. He was a kind, inspiring, and funny guy who will be missed and always remembered, my condolences to everyone feeling this loss. - Posted by: Heather Streilein(Olson) (friend) on: Sep 09, 2013

  • I met Trevor 7 years ago and we soon became good friends, which developed into a very close Friendship for both me and my daughter. People pass on and leave you and you get this sadness and pain within. And you feel like maybe it's easier or better not to feel and care for anyone. If you don't care you won't cry when they leave. We both cried, but we will never regret this special time when we were a part of each others lives. This special time we spent with a very good Man and Friend! Miss You Always Trevor! Love..Hans and Suzanna. Rest in peace Buddy. - Posted by: Hans and Suzanna Bruenger (Very close friends that miss you dearly) on: Sep 05, 2013

  • I was so fortunate to meet Trevor a few years ago. His genuine interest in other people and his commitment to sports and coaching was amazing. I didn't get to speak to him very much the last year or so but loved seeing his antics with Kevin on facebook. When I worked in Garden City we always got the drive by wave and " HOW YA DOIN'?" when he went by no matter how much of a hurry he might have been in. He was one of the good ones. My heart is with the family at this time. - Posted by: Krista Gilman () on: Sep 05, 2013
