EDWARD ADAM SEBASTIAN February 23, 1928 - September 10, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle after a short battle with cancer on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Dad was predeceased by his loving wife Eleanor, of 56 years on April 13, 2013, sister, Victoria Sebastian Kereluk on August 18, 2013, his parents Mary and Joseph, in-laws, Daniel and Anne Lewicki, and sister-in-law Norma Tetreau. Left to cherish his loving memory are his children: Grant (Susan), grandchildren Marc (Vanny), David (Kelsey); Jonathan all of Winnipeg; Leslie of Tsawwassen, BC. He will also be dearly missed by his sister Valdine (Tim) Hastings of Hazelridge, nephews Ken of Winnipeg, Richard (Niki) and family of Grand Cayman Island, nephew George (Jackie) Kereluk and family, niece Kathryn Connors all of British Columbia; brother-in-law Frank Tetreau and niece Louise-Anne of Ontario, numerous cousins, friends and neighbours. Dad was born, raised and lived in Transcona. When he was young he learned to play the violin and piano. He was a member of the band "The Buddies" and also played in the Ice Capades orchestra. He always loved music. He was employed at James Richardson & Son for 40 years until his retirement on June, 1987. He had many hobbies, loved flying, fly-in-fishing, fishing at Grant and Sue's cottage and woodworking - he make beautiful furniture which adorned his home. Grandpa took pride and enjoyed spending any time with his grandsons. Dad was a man of principle, integrity, energetic and resourceful with a bright and positive outlook on life. He was the happiest when he was surrounded by his family. Our Birthday parties will not be the same without his fake trip while carrying the birthday cake. The Family would like to thank Dr. Pat Harris and the Oncology Staff at Concordia Hospital, W.R.H.A. homecare staff Marianne, Sam, Ali, Vertron, Nelson, Elymer, Pat and Zenny; Palliative Care staff, Sandy Porco, Richard and all the attending nurses for their help, kindness and compassionate care for our Dad. Following Dad's wishes, a private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. • Dad, I am heartbroken that you have left us so soon after mom. But I believe you two are together again, with everyone else who has left ahead of me. I am so glad you didn't have pain, but you were so tired, so ready to join mom. I love you so much, and I will forever. I miss you already but know you are both watching over me now, and that brings its own comfort. Never, ever forgotten. Leslie xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo - Posted by: Leslie Hardy (Daughter) on: Sep 16, 2013

  • My deepest condolences to Grant/Susan, Leslie and Jonathon and extended family. I would like to share a quote with you. "Ed, has not died, but merely gone away, to a better place, free of pain and suffering. We will be re-united with him some day". Ed had a good life and he is now re-united with his wife, Eleanor.
