ANNE BLANCHARD (nee KUZYK) Anne Blanchard (nee Kuzyk) passed away peacefully on September 9, 2013. Anne was born on July 12, 1912 in Glenella, MB. She moved to Winnipeg in the early 1940s where she spent much of her working life waitressing at the Paddock Restaurant, a job she remembered fondly. Anne was predeceased by her son Richard, parents Steve and Polly Kuzyk, sisters Kay, Mary, Jean, Pearl, Sylvia, Ollie, and brothers John and Henry. She will be missed by her remaining siblings, Evelyn, Milly, Sally, Alex, Tom, Peter and Jerry. Also left to mourn her passing are daughter-in-law Janet, granddaughter Tammi, and great-grandchildren Danika and Lucas as well as numerous nieces and nephews. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Anne firmly believed in the Bible's promise of a resurrection (John 5:28, 29) and the time when "no resident will say "I am sick" (Isaiah 33:24) The family would like to thank the fourth floor staff of the Lions Manor Personal Care Centre, 320 Sherbrook St. for their excellent care and concern for Anne's welfare.
