  • Deepest condolences to Caroline and Justin. This came as a shock. I knew Jacques since Grade 11. We shared lots of laughs in our younger years. We also lived in the same apartment block in the 80s. I had recently just met Jacques after many years as we both live in Transcona. R.I.P. Jacques. • I knew you for 12 years of my life. I babysat your son since he was a baby. You were a great father. It saddens me that it came to this and I pray for the family and friends. You were an amazing guy Jaques and may your strength show through Justin as he is guided through life by you and God. Amen - Posted by: Acacia McDonald (Neighbour, Babysitter) on: Sep 19, 2013

  • Our thoughts have been with Caroline & Justin all week. I'm so sorry for your loss. We always remember Jacques popping up over our fence for a friendly hello or chat or ask if we needed help with something we might be working on. Always remember the good times, and Caroline you always have a piece of him in Justin. If you need anything please don't hesitate to ask. • Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Forest family during this difficult time, Jake's memory will live in our hearts forever, from the days of Southdale Shell, and even as we grew to be adults, the laughs, fun and care that Jake showed for his family, friends, and everyone who knew him will be deeply missed. - Posted by: Jim and Karen Bidulka , Calgary,Ab (Friend) on: Sep 18, 2013

  • My condolences to the family. I lost touch with Jacques and most of my classmates from Louis Riel Collegiate when I moved to BC. But I'll never forget the fun times and the fond memories I will cherish throughout my life, especially the ones I have of Jacques. He always made me laugh when I most needed it. I wish we had stayed in touch. I could have benefited from his antics and good humour throughout the years. - Posted by: Charles Gauthier (High school classmate) on: Sep 18, 2013

  • I had the privilege of working with Jaques at Xerox. He would go out of his way to be helpful and always had a smile to share with everyone. Although I never got to know his family he talked lovingly and cared so much about his son. • Jake was a good friend in my earlier years, and was always a very happy, smiley, and fun loving person, especially at all the socials, parties, and just hanging out times we all had together. The last couple of months Jake came into Walmart alot, where I work, and we had great catch up conversations on his and my life. I'm sorry I never knew that he was suffering any emotional problems, otherwise I would have tried to help in someway. I will miss Jake very much. He was one of a very few who could lift up your day with a smile and a hello. Rest in peace Jake. - Posted by: Yvonne Ringland (Friend) on: Sep 16, 2013
