ERVEN DYCK August 26, 1929 - September 18, 2013 Passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a courageous battle with skin cancer. Erven farmed in the Homewood area until his mid-fifties and spent much of the rest of his life serving in various volunteer endeavors. Predeceased by his wife, Rose Dyck (nee Froese), brother Jim Dyck (Marie), sister Delma Kennedy (nee Dyck), as well as his parents Jacob Dyck and Margaret Dyck (nee Wiebe). He leaves behind his children Judy Isaak (Bill); Randall Dyck, Karen Schellenberg (Ron); and Leanne Rondeau (Michel) as well as grandchildren Christopher Isaak (Ashley), Brendan Isaak, Allison Isaak, Douglas Schellenberg, Janis Banman (Joshua), Emily Schellenberg, Gabriel Rondeau, Zoe Rondeau, and Szarah Rondeau, as well as great-grandchildren Matthew and Jacob Brown (Isaak). He also leaves behind his brother Ben Dyck (Margaret) and sister Ina Friesen (Walter), as well as many other close relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 23, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Doyle's Funeral Home in Carman. A funeral service will be held at Bethel Mennonite Church, 465 Stafford Avenue, Winnipeg, on Tuesday, September 24 at 1 pm, followed by burial at the Carman Cemetery. Donations may be made to MCC Manitoba, 134 Plaza Drive, Winnipeg. Heartfelt thanks to the amazing staff at the Morris Hospital who made his last difficult months as comfortable as possible. Additional thanks go out to the staff at Comforts of Home Care, and the staff and volunteers at Cancer Care Manitoba for their dedication and support.
