EDNA PEARL HAAS Suddenly and peacefully at her residence in Gimli, MB, Edna Pearl Haas, aged 89 years, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013. Full obituary will follow. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.

  • Edna, you will be missed not only by me but by many people from our community. Edna had wit, she had grace, she had both external and inward beauty; But above all, she had truth. Laughter is the best medicine for all of us and that was a given from Edna. She had an outgoing and bubbly character, with a kind and caring nature. She was a true friend to everyone. She had an infectious smiling laugh, which captured the hearts of everyone she met. She loved to bake and bake and bake ..why?? oh just in case someone drops over. I would just chuckle at that cause I knew Edna always had many friends dropping over. In closing, I want to say I am so glad Edna's wishes of never having to go and live in Betel came true.
