  • My sincerest and deepest sympathies to the Clarke family and friends. My memories of Mr. Clarke was when I lived back in Oakbank. A small town where everyone knew each other. Three schools. Tightly knit. Everyone was considered family or a close friend. So many fond memories too many to list. May you rest in peace Mr. Clarke you will be missed by many! xo - Posted by: Shirley Cates (Randall) (Friend) on: Sep 25, 2013

  • I met Bob while a student at SCI. Bob was at every band concert, and was a regular fixture as a chaperone on band trips. Between him and Mr. Payne, they probably heard/witnessed some of my pretty embarrassing adolescent moments. I was able to spend some time with Bob at our 20 year high school reunion. I was amazed at how little he had changed, and how warmly he had spoken of us when he toured SCI with us. Truly an amazing guy, with a heart of gold. He will be missed!! - Posted by: Kurt Berger (Friend) on: Sep 25, 2013

  • So sad of Bob passing my deepest Condolences to Paula and family. REST IN PEACE BOB. - Posted by: Maria Palumbo (Friend) on: Sep 25, 2013

  • I met Bob in the early eighties in a place called Vermillion. I was a scared kid just starting with the CGC. Bob didn't have to but he took me under his wing and our long friendship started there in that little Alberta town. Bob had the rare gift of making new friends and never forgetting the old or letting them feel deluded. I know he probably made a new friend every day. Rest in Peace my dear friend. - Posted by: Micheal Borysiuk (Freind) on: Sep 25, 2013

  • Bob befriended me while I was in my first years teaching band where he lived in Oakbank. He became a stalwart supporter of the music program and music education. Bob served as the Band Parent President and was a significant force behind raising both profile and funding for the first ever trip to the National Festival in 1989 for band students from Springfield. Bob was a loyal friend - generous with his love - and devoted to his family. My wife and I will recall, most fondly, many times shared with Bob and his family in the warmth of their home, pool, hottub, or bonfire. - Posted by: Robert Payne (Friend) on: Sep 25, 2013
