GERALD (GERRY) FIDLER February 15, 1932 September 29, 2013 We are saddened to announce the passing of Gerald (Gerry) Fidler peacefully at the Selkirk District and General Hospital with family by his side. He had been battling cancer the last three years of his life. Gerry spent most of his working life in Gillam, MB. On retirement from Manitoba Hydro in 1989 he moved back to his home town of Selkirk, MB. He is survived by his three children Randy (Sharon) Fidler, Ron Fidler and Lori Desrosiers; his five grandchildren Shandy (Jayson) Oliver, Janine (Wally) Spence, Collin (Meranda) Fidler, Ronald (Melissa) Fidler, Jayme Desrosiers and his 10 great-grandchildren Deyon, Evann, Shaygne, River, Salem, Nevaeh, Adyson, Crosby, Carter and Carson. Also his cat "Nosey". He was predeceased by his mother Christina; stepmother Mary and father Cecil; brothers Rae and Cecil and wife Mary (Peggy). Memorial service will be held at Gilbart Funeral Chapel on Friday, October 4 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Clements Cemetery following the service.
