DELMAR MACRAIE COCHRANE December 7, 1942 - September 29, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing our brother, Delmar, on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Percy E. Moore Hospital, with family by his side. Delmar is survived by brothers William (Gerry), Hubert (Ellen), Walter (Margaret), Doug (Judy), sisters Corrine (Steve) and Olive, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Myrtle, brothers Harvey and Alvin, and halfsisters May and Rachel. The family wish to thank the staff at Percy E. Moore Hospital for their compassionate care of Delmar during his lengthy illness and the Peguis Band and Peguis Health Care Unit for their assistance and care. We wish also to thank his friend, Joy, for the huge amount of time spent visiting with Delmar in hospital and keeping his spirits up with her wit and humour. Prayers will be held at St. Mathews Anglican Church, Peguis, on Thursday, October 3 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Mathews Church, Friday, October 4 at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow at St. Peters Anglican Church Cemetery, Peguis. A lunch will follow at St. Mathews Church. Pallbearers are his nephews, William, Jesse and Michael Cochrane, Jason and Kirby Asham, and Kenneth Martin. Honorary pallbearers are Delmar, Cyril and Oliver Cameron. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of one's choice. Fisher Funeral Home, Fisher Branch, Manitoba, 204-372-6803, in charge of arrangements.

We could call each other and talk for hours, no one in the family really knew how much you knew about what I was doing (and who) how University was going and I remember you being so damn happy when I told you I was working for the government. my friend i am going to miss your caring ways, you always made me smile, i loved our little talks when we seen each other. I will cherish all our times we went to bible study at mar and delmar's house.
