DOROTHY LENA HOWE Peacefully after a short illness on Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Grace Hospital, Dorothy passed away at the age of 84 years. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Harold and a son Joseph. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Bob (Pat), Bonnie (Jim), Dan (Linda), Jerry (Cindy), Susan (Murray), Gord, Ron (Brigitte) and Brenda. She also leaves fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren and her numerous grand-cats and dogs. Mom was born in Palmerston, Ontario on February 12, 1929. She married Harold in 1949 moving to Winnipeg in 1957. She worked in Winnipeg and retired in 1985 where she then moved to BC. Following Harold's passing, she moved back to Winnipeg to be with her family. She was very involved in Charleswood Adult Day Care where she made numerous dear friends and cherished the time spent with them. The family wish to extend special thanks to the staff at Grace Hospital ICU. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy's memory can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. Interment in Brookside Cemetery following the service.
