Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLLIE LUCHIK (nee LEACHMAN) August 1, 1921 October 4, 2013 I Ollie, beloved widow of the late Michael Luchik who predeceased me on April 8, 1997 and beloved mother of Michael Wayne Luchik, who predeceased me on November 23, 1988, with heavy hearts and deep sorrow the family makes this announcement of my passing on October 4, 2013 at the age of 92 years. I was born and raised in Winnipeg, and attended Cecil Rhodes School. Michael and I had 52 years of marriage in which we travelled North America extensively. Knitting, sewing and cross stitching were my favourite pastimes. I retired from CO-OP Implements and spent many years camping and staying in Steep Rock, Manitoba. I leave to mourn three precious grandsons Ryan (Dawn), Dean (Krysta), and Kevin, great-granddaughters Brynn and Bentley, my daughter-in-law Mary Luchik, sister-in-law Joey Lechman, sister Dorothy (Dodo) MacDonald (who was my dearest friend and always at my side when I needed help), sister Eleanor Freeman, dearest niece Cheryl (Gerry, Kaitlin, Sarah), dearest nephew Todd (Brenda, Caden, Hunter, Chloe), and extended family and friends too numerous to mention. The family would like to thank all the staff at Concordia Hospital for the care and comfort they provided Ollie. " My life on earth is truly past, I've loved you all to the very last. As I sail away don't weep for me, Just wish me a pleasant journey And wave good bye. Loved ones are waiting, on the other side with open arms." Celebration of Ollie's life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 in the Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery & Crematorium 1800 Day Street at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ollie's name to the Concordia Hospital. My deepest sympathies to Auntie Dodo, Cheryl, Todd and their families and Mary, Dean and Ryan. Auntie Ollie was there for me, many years ago, when I needed a sitter for my 5 children. She never waivered by willingly offered her help. Also thank you to Auntie Dodo for making sure Ollie was still in contact with all her nieces and grandnieces and grandnephews. She would bring Ollie to our homes for a visit. - Posted by: Debbie Regier (niece) on: Oct 07, 2013
