RUTH REYNOLDS (CLARK) (nee KING) Ruth died peacefully in her home at River Park Gardens on September 17, 2013 at the age of 97 years. Ruth was predeceased by Sid Clark, her first husband of 44 years and Fred Reynolds, her second husband of 15 years. Ruth was born in Winnipeg, June 1, 1916, the fourth child of 11 children, to Emma and Fred King. Surviving to cherish life long memories are Audrey Greenham and Laurence King of Clarkleigh, Manitoba, and Helen Bryanton of San Diego, California. Mom is survived by her three children Laura Johnston (Bruce), Verna Davidson, Donald Clark (Pat), eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Her long and active life was an inspiration and blessing for us all. Mom loved baking, sewing, hooking (a Happy Hooker) and became quite a traveller as she visited her children in various parts of the world. In 1987, Mom married Fred Reynolds and our family was enhanced with the addition of his children, Edna, Bill, Kathy and their families. In 2008, Ruth made her last home at River Park Gardens in St. Vital. There it was said, "her Smile would light the room". We are so very grateful for the caring staff there. They all were truly wonderful. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery, Hwy. 1 East at Navin Road, on Friday, October 18 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. • Auntie Ruth was a great woman within the King family. I remember visits to the house on Berrydale as a child. It was always lots of fun. Thank you Auntie Ruth for being a part of our big family! - Posted by: Susanne Richter (Niece) on: Oct 16, 2013
