MICHAEL CHARLES LONG May 5, 1931- October 12, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mike Long on October 12, 2013, a loving husband and friend for 60 years and devoted father to sons Keith and Kevan, we will miss him deeply. He was a generous giving person of himself, but had one fault which he deserved, a love of new cars, but not to the cost of others. I would like to thank the Transcona Legion # 7 in advance for everything and for helping with the lunch. Mike was a proud member for over 45 years and worked in several positions. I would also like to thank the prompt kind service of the firemen and paramedics, they worked so hard both at home and to the hospital, also thank you to the emergency doctor on duty and the Nurse Nancy who was with me until I was able to leave the hospital. Thank you to everyone at Concordia Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery & Crematorium, 1800 Day Street.
