ANDREA LYNN BROWN June 17, 1949 - October 12, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, gramma, sister, auntie and friend Andrea on October 12, 2013 at the age of 64 years. She was predeceased by her husband Jim Brown and her parents Victor and Elsie Goetz, brothers Graham and Gregory Goetz. Left to cherish her memory are her kids Donald (Leah), Pam (Wade), and David. Her five grandchildren Justin, Nicholas, Emily, Cassie and Eric. Her sister Marilyn (Renny) Derkacz, along with many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. She worked as a cook at many local restaurants within the community. Cooking was something she enjoyed and this allowed her to make great friends that she truly cherished. She enjoyed baking and cooking for her grandchildren and her gingerbread houses will surely be missed! Knitting, reading and bingo were also hobbies she truly enjoyed. A special thanks to Dr. Krendster and all the doctors and nurses at Seven Oaks Hospital for their great care. In honouring her wishes, a lunch will be served on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Dugald Community Club. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Condolences & Memories (20 entries)

  • My condolences to the family and friends of Andrea. She was a great woman to have worked with. she always took care of me and she was a lot of fun to work with. I remember a time she came to my defence when a rude customer was yelling at me, she put the man in his place and truly made my day. She had her strong and tough side and her sweet and loveable side. I will miss her. - Posted by: Nicole lesko (Co worker ) on: Oct 29, 2013

  • So many memories of Andrea! She was always the center of everything we had going on. She was the organizer, the creator, the cook, the baker, and where I was concerned, the delegator. I will miss her daily updates on everything from what is going on with the kids to who is going to get kicked off the Amazing Race this week. Over the past few months we saw her failing and losing her spark, will miss her so much but couldn’t wish her to stay any longer.
