ROSEMARIE (RUTHIE) BERGESE July 5, 1937 - October 16, 2013 Peacefully, on Wednesday October 16, 2013, Rosemarie passed from this life at the age of 76 years. She was a proud and patient woman who passed in quiet dignity. She will leave to mourn her passing her husband of 47 years Dominique Bergese, her daughter Donna Bergese, son-in-law Greg Romaniuk and her one and only grandson, Brandon Romaniuk. She was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba where she graduated from Success Business College. She worked, married and raised one child, all in Winnipeg's North End. She spent most of her last 13 years developing a lasting relationship with her grandson. To her credit she also volunteered for several organizations over the years including The Red Cross, Holy Family Home Inc. and Seven Oaks General Hospital. Mom had an affinity for the arts! However her first love was literature and reading, a gift she passed on to Brandon. She enjoyed both five and ten pin bowling, and waiting for football season to start. The family would like to express our sincerest thanks to all the emergency responders, and the staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital, The Asper Center and St. Boniface General Hospital for the quality of care she received during her prolonged stay at these facilities. As a strong Catholic, Mom appreciated all of the efforts put forth by the Spiritual Care teams who assisted her in her hour of need, which prepared her for her final journey home. A celebration of Rosemarie's life will be held at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Mitrat Michael Buyachok officiating. A private interment will be held for Mom at Waverley for immediate family only, at her request. Flowers graciously declined, if one so chooses please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
