LEONA POELVOORDE (nee LECLAIR) November 22, 1951 October 21, 2013 Suddenly, with family by her side Leona Poelvoorde passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 61 years. Leona was predeceased by her parents; Frances and Lionel LeClair, sister Doreen, and brother Charles. She will be lovingly remembered by family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for the excellent care and compassion given to Leona while in their care. Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 252 Dubuc Street. Interment will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
