MARIE-JEANNE SABOURIN Marie-Jeanne Sabourin (née Comeault). Tel que maman a vecu, paisiblement et silencieusement, elle s'est endormie dans la paix le mardi 22 octobre, a l'age de 96 ans. Elle fut précédée dans le deuil par son epoux Ovila en 2000. Elle laisse dans le deuil cinq enfants: Lorraine, Bernard (Claudette), Claudette (Dave Zilli), René (Gisèle) et Gérald. Elle laisse aussi huit petits-enfants: Raymond (Roxy), Dennis (Nancy), Michael (Linda), Doris (Guy), Bruno (Jan), Patricia, Corinne et Liane ainsi que 15 arrières petits-enfants: Lealand, Dylan, Jay, Sydney, Danielle, Nicole, Joelle, Beau, Alexi Lee, Alex, Jenna, Nash, Briane, Logan et Chase. Maman est entrée au Foyer Valade en juin 2010 après avoir vécu à Saint-Jean-Baptiste toute sa vie où elle et son epoux ont élévé leurs cinq enfants. Marie-Jeanne etait une personne trés dévouée qui n'avait pas peur du travail. Son foyer était toujours ouvert à sa famille et à ses amies. Elle aimait la nature, les animaux, le jardinage et les fleurs. Elle lisait beaucoup et faisait du tricot. Elle nous servait de modéle et était très fière des succès de ses enfants et de ses petits-enfants. Excellente cuisinière, ses tartes, ses brioches, ses tourtières et son pâté de foie faisaient la joie de tous. D'une foi inébranlable, elle surmontait les défis de la vie croyant que Dieu, veillerait sur ceux et celles qu'elle aimait. Les employés du Foyer Valade la décrivent comme étant "une dame polie avec un sourire sincére". La famille désire remercier très sincèrement le personnel du Foyer Valade pour les bons soins accordés à notre chére maman, grand-maman et arrière-grand- maman. La célébration de sa vie "l'Eulogy" aura lieu à 13 h 30, suivit de la messe à 14 h, le samedi 2 novembre à l'église de Saint-Jean-Baptiste à Saint-Jean-Baptiste, Manitoba. L'Abbé Bongo et L'Abbé Maurice Comeault présideront. L'inhumation se fera au cimetiére de Saint-Jean-Baptiste. MARIE-JEANNE SABOURIN (née COMEAULT) As peacefully and as quietly as she lived, Mom died Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at the age of 96. Mom was born on May 20, 1917, and lived her whole life in St. Jean Baptiste, MB. She was predeceased by her husband Ovila in 2000. She is survived by her five children: Lorraine, Bernard (Claudette), Claudette (Dave Zilli), René (Gisèle) and Gérald. Marie-Jeanne is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Raymond (Roxy), Dennis (Nancy), Michael (Linda), Doris (Guy), Bruno (Jan), Patricia, Corinne and Liane and her 15 great-grandchildren: Lealand, Dylan, Jay, Sydney, Danielle, Nicole, Joelle, Beau, Alexi Lee, Alex, Jenna, Nash, Briane, Logan and Chase. Marie-Jeanne was a very caring, hard working person. Her home was always open to family and friends. She loved nature, wildlife, gardening and flowers. She was an avid reader and loved to knit. She was a perfect role model for all of us, and took great pride in the success of her children and grandchildren. She was an excellent cook - her pies, homemade buns, tourtières and pate de foie were always a hit. She handled life's trials with unshakable faith, believing that God would take care of all her loved ones. The staff of Foyer Valade summarized her as a "polite lady with a sincere smile". The family wishes to thank the Foyer Valade for their compassion and the good care they gave to our mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. A celebration of her life and Eulogy will be held at 1:30 p.m. and mass to follow at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, at the St. Jean Baptiste Catholic Church in St. Jean Baptiste. Father Bongo and Father Maurice Comeault will preside. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
