JEANNINE EMILLIENNE LANDRY (nee PARADIS) In loving memory of Jeannine Emillienne Landry (nee Paradis), who passed away after a lengthy illness in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 80 years on October 24, 2013. She leaves behind her husband of 50 years, Marcel Landry, her children Daniel (Sharlene) and JoAnne (David), grandchildren Tia, Justin (sf Taylor), Cody, Marc, and Chase. She also leaves behind her sister Celine, and her brothers Rene (Eva), Gabriel (Sharon), and Lionel. Jeannine will also be missed by the Landry family, and many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Rose and Felix, her brothers Alphonse, Leonard, Normand, her twin Jean, and her sister Lucille. Jeannine was a care giver, not only as a Health care aide for 28 years, but as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In her later years in life, her grandchildren provided her with a feeling of happiness that she would speak of to anyone who would listen with extreme pride. She was a small woman with a large heart who adored her family and friends, and who was full of compassion and appreciated all the people in her life. We are all blessed to have known such a strong and special woman. Thank you to Dr. Ebbeling-Treon, and the St. Boniface Cardiac Palliative Care Team for all their support and care. A very special thank you to Marcel, who cared for her at home at her most difficult times. A funeral Service for Jeannine will be held at Précieux-Sang Roman Catholic Church, 200 Kenny St., Winnipeg, MB at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013. A viewing will take place an hour prior to the service. A private interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, D1003 - 409 Tache Ave, Winnipeg, MB, R2H 2A8, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6. Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • Dear family in Winnipeg, even if we didn't have the chance to visit you often, we still have a lot of great souvenirs in our mind and we will never forget you all and how much we have a beautiful family. N'oubliez jamais que les Paradis de Québec sont toujours dans votre coeur! - Posted by: Martine (Québec) (Niece) on: Dec 02, 2013

  • I remember very fondly the big dinners we would have at Uncle Marcel's and Aunt Jeannine's house, and later even more people at their cottage. Great food (too much, of course), non stop laughter and good natured teasing. Even though she was the "little" one, she held her own with a big smile, and always had a hug for the kids, especially the youngest. I will remember her as a gentle, loving person who was happiest when she was doing things for others. - Posted by: Brian (Nephew) on: Nov 02, 2013

  • My heart is breaking for mr Landry and his family as well as Jeannine's family. I wish I were able to be there for a final goodbye. Jeannine was a super sweet woman. I know I looked forward to seeing her and Marcel every two weeks. They're my favorite couple. Marcel always took such good care of her. She will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Jen (Friend. ) on: Nov 01, 2013

  • Dear Uncle Marcel & family, I was so sorry to hear of Aunty Jeannine's passing. Although I hadn't seen her in quite some time, I do remember her warm smile and friendly manner. She always seemed to take such joy in life. I feel for you all at this very difficult time, as I know how much you will all miss her. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, Sandra - Posted by: Sandra (Niece) on: Oct 30, 2013

  • Our Thoughts and Prayers are with the Family. - Posted by: Annette and Denis Boutin (Nephew) on: Oct 30, 2013

  • Tante Jeannine was always a very special person to me being my Dad's little twin sister. There was always a special bond between them. He loved her very much. He would tease her all the time and I will always remember her special laugh. I remember quite well his last day with all his family around him and there was Tante Jeannine laughing and joking with him and holding his hand. They were teasing each other even then. Her small stature was remarkable but so was her sense of humour and her big heart. She always talked about her children and grandchildren with pride and love. Whenever I visited her she would show me pictures of her family with a big smile on her face. To JoAnne, Daniel and your families and Oncle Marcel, my thoughts are with you in this sad time. Be comforted in knowing that she is with her brothers and sister and parents certainly laughing and teasing up a storm. From Jeannine's niece... Lynne - Posted by: Lynne () on: Oct 29, 2013
