LUISA DE ROCA Peacefully, with family by her side, Luisa Pilapil de Roca, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away at Royal Columbian Hospital, New West, BC at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her husband Pedro, parents Eusebio and Petrona, and by her siblings Mely, Tely, Nardo, Medy, Freddie, Betty and Perlita. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two siblings Herminia and Rufino and by her six daughters Lucy (Roger) Pragides, Ellen dela Cruz, Levy (Wilfred) Agawin, Myrla Sanchez, Marissa (Rey) Estanislao and Cecilia (Alwyn) Chan. She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren Cristy Pragides, Geraldine (Romy) Monte, Rogelyn (Neil) Galman, Melodee (Vlad) Santos, Wilson (Vanessa) Agawin, Darryl (Connie) Agawin, Myralie, Alexandra, Kathleen, Wyncel, Alia, and Mariel, and by her great-grandchildren Kaycee, Kyle, Romeo Jr., Rehyanah, Giezelle, Geromy, Brendan, Isabella, Kaitlin, Jaiden, Nolan, Blake, and Mikaela. Luisa came to Winnipeg from the Philippines with her husband in 1984 to join her family. She later moved to Port Coquitlam, BC where she spent the majority of her senior years helping to raise her younger grandchildren. In her more recent years, she spent her days in between the two cities, spending time with all of her daughters and making memories with her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Luisa was a strong, happy, vibrant woman who enjoyed the company of her family. She will always be remembered for her loving nature, her devotion to her grandchildren, and her strong faith. Lamay will take place on Friday, November 8 from 6:00 p.m. to 12 midnight at Thomson In the Park' Funeral Home 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 9 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church, 836 Arlington Street with Fr. Jorge Mante as the Celebrant. Interment will follow in Waverley Memorial Gardens 1501 Waverley Street at Chevrier Boulevard.
