CHRISTOPHER JAMES BARTLEY
Born: Aug 06, 1975
Date of Passing: Nov 09, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTOPHER JAMES BARTLEY August 6, 1975 - November 9, 2013 On Saturday, November 9, 2013 Chris left us to journey on to meet with the Lord, and to see his Mom in the pastures of heaven. Chris will be mourned by his father, Danny Bartley (Margie Ritter), grandmother Florence Bartley, Aunt Sharlene Bartley (Uncle Roy Yerex), Uncle Murray Bartley (Joann), extended family, Shea Ritter, Devon Ritter, Carla Kramer (Brent Finn), and numerous cousins. During his life, Chris lost two uncles, Larry (survived by his widow, Lucille Bruce) and Keith: Larry to cancer earlier this year, and Keith to the performance of his duties in 1989. Both were devoted to Chris. A bright and vital young lad, Chris was struck down with a heart attack at age 12. He continued on with his life, giving inspiration and love to all who knew him, without complaint about his plight. Chris' outlook on life was to be kind and to be good to each other. As a poet he inspired all. He had a deep and abiding devotion to his father, surpassed only by his love of our God. Volunteering was his passion - participating in a movie which portrayed the inclusiveness of the disabled. It was during the loving care he received at Tache Centre, that he coined his reference of the nursing profession as: "My Angels.:" His life terminated under the loving caregiving of the staff at Deer Lodge Hospital. The family wishes to give heartfelt thanks to the unswerving, loving care heaped upon Chris by those hospitals. Some years after his mom passed away, Chris was blessed with his second mom, Margie whom he loved. "You are Dad's Angel" said Chris in one of his many poems. Our broken hearts are reassured in the sure and certain belief in the Lord God, in whose arms Chris now resides. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or charity of your choice. A Celebration of Chris' life will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Deer Lodge Worship Centre, 2109 Portage Ave. Ms. Marie Lafantaisie officiating. A Reception for family and friends will follow. For online condolences, or to light a memorial candle please log onto www.mosaicfunerals.ca 1839 Inkster Blvd. 1006 Nairn Ave. (204) 275-5555

I have very fond memories of Chris as a part of our Creative Expressions art group at Tache. He was a warm and sensitive human being. And his poetic words were an inspiration. I am so thankful he was able to be a part of the Art Show of 2DE at the Osborne Library. Folks really enjoyed his art and his poems. Peace to Chris and all the family. Chris was never in want of a kind, thoughtful word or deed; was invariably positive and loving and; never wasted a moment of his life. We loved Chris deeply. As much as we yearn for his companionship, we cherish the sure and certain knowledge that he is in tender care of the Lord, dancing with his loving Mom, chatting with his grandpa, golfing with his Uncle Larry and walking in the woods with his Uncle Keith. - Posted by: Roy A. From the time I held Chris in my arms as an infant, I was totally in love with our little redhead. To know Chris was to love him. He was devoted to his family and so grateful for anything you did for him. I will miss our talks, our poems, and mostly our hugs. We will have a lot to catch up on -- until we meet again. I love you, Chris. - Posted by: Sharlene Bartley (Aunt) on: Nov 14, 2013

Chris was the best, truest friend I ever had. We shared so much laughter. His bright smile could brighten even my worst days. I will always be grateful for his friendship. I am so blessed for having known you. Thank you for your friendship, I hope you know how much you mean to me. Rest in peace my friend till we meet again you will always fill a special place in my heat no one else ever will. Love Always I Live On - Unknown Don't cry for me in sadness; don't weep for me in sorrow, For I will be beside you, as sure as comes tomorrow. My body has gone but my spirit lives on, as does my love for you. Just as in life. I'll watch over you, I always will be true. I will always by your side. I know my jokes weren't always funny and jobs weren't always done. Just try and always remember the good times, the days when we had fun. Reach out if you need me, for I will always be near. Just talk to me, as if I am there, I promise I will hear. For I'll live on, within your mind, we'll never be apart, As long as you keep my memory, deep within your heart. So lift up your hearts, don't be sad, my spirit hasn't gone. While you're still there, so am I, I really will live on - Posted by: Susan Pinnington (Friend) on: Nov 14, 2013

I first met Chris when he was around 7 or 8 months old visiting his mom and dad and introducing him to his second cousin Shannon our daughter who is 5 months younger. Even though I have known his mom since grade school we always lived miles apart but tried to keep in touch over the years. Will always remember his beautiful red hair and his beautiful smile and his quiet jokes that always made us laugh. I know his Mother was totally devoted to him as was his father but his Mother will be looking after him now. I truly believe this. Danny and Margie, our condolences are with you now and you are in our thoughts and prayers always. - Posted by: Debbie & Rick Morris (Friends) on: Nov 13, 2013

Chris was an inspiration. We always heard from Shar his pearls of wisdom and stories that showed his heart. Chris looked like a handsome Norseman, courageous yet kind and every story bore that out for us, especially his fight to stay on this side with his Dad. We marvelled at his strength. God bless and take his soul close to Him. Prayers for the family, especially for to Dan. Chris is at peace now. - Posted by: Cliff and Rachele Yerex (Sharlene Barley's brother in law and sister in law) on: Nov 13, 2013
