EDWARD (TEDDY) JOHN DAVIDSON January 30, 1941 - November 12, 2013 Teddy passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his wife Marion Louise Davidson. Dad was born and raised in Winnipeg and worked a variety of jobs during his lifetime. He was hard working, strong, and evolved into a gentle man. He loved his family and was devoted to his wife and three children. He put everyone else's needs ahead of his own and gave everything of himself to take care of mom. He was a pillar of strength and love until Alzheimer's stole him away. Dad had many favourite activities. He loved to go on his Casino trips with mom, reading, fishing and golfing. He was always the first one to sit at the table after dinner to play cards or dice. He loved to spend time with his sister Lorraine (Harry); his brothers Ernie (Donna), Jim (Pat), and his cousin Delores (Nick). He will be deeply missed by his children Debbie (Harold), Denise, Richard (Suzette); his grandchildren Tamarra (Jay), Kira (Brad), Devin, Raina, and all his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. There will be a private family gathering. We may not shower him with praise Nor mention his name in song, And sometimes it seems that we forget The joy he spreads as he goes along, But it doesn't mean that we don't know The wonderful role that he has had. And away down deep in every heart There's a place that is just for Dad... We will love you and miss you forever. Rest in peace. • Our condolences to family and friends who were touched by this cool guy who always had a twinkle in his eyes and a devilish smile on his lips. He did indeed evolve into a gentle man. We love you Teddy and will miss you forever. - Posted by: Dolores and Nick Stewart (cousin and brother of the heart) on: Nov 16, 2013

  • Where can I start with my dear friend and long time golf partner.... as in Seinfeld Ed had 2 worlds, "independent Ed" and "relationship Ed" and he never let them clash, I knew "independent Ed" and while I was never really close to my father and while there was just 22 years difference between Ed and myself he was very much like a father to me. I developed my passion for golf from the man who taught me the game, like most kids my main focus for years was to beat "the old man" I would like to think I got better but the truth is age caught up to him and I was finally able to beat him, I can still remember that day it was an early Saturday morning at John Blumberg golf course I got him by 1 stoke and it was a joyous day (for me anyway) I have so many great memories of Ed I could go on forever, and while we didn't see a lot of each other the past while I will cherish my memories of him dearly, to this day I still think about him and some of his sayings or Ed "isms" as I call them I quote them often, in closing, I will miss Ed dearly and I look forward to one day meet up with him again for another round of golf. - Posted by: Joe Beilman (Friend) on: Nov 16, 2013
