ELIZABETH (BETTY) MCKUSH (nee BREWER) November 9, 1921 - November 7, 2013 Surrounded by love, our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother slipped away peacefully at the Victoria Hospital on November 7, 2013. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Gerry (Brian) Cook and Jane (Rick) Town; four grandchildren whom she loved dearly Jeff (Rochelle), Jodi (Steve), James (Marnie) and Randall (Louiise). She also leaves behind six great-grandchildren Devon and Katie, Aidan and Mackenzie, and Alex and Eric. She is survived by two brothers David (Patty) and Brian (Susan), and two sisters Gerry and Jan (Ron). Betty lost the love of her life - Eddie in 1989. She is now happily reunited with "Big Ed" and the two of them can continue their journey together - they made a great team. Mom was quite an athlete, enjoying paddling in the Canoe Club days, playing tennis at the Winnipeg Tennis Club and golfing at Breezy Bend Golf and Country Club. In her spare time' she also curled and bowled. Betty was a loving wife and fantastic mother. She will be remembered for her gentle nature and the unconditional support and love she gave to each of us. We were lucky to have had her as a role model. Our lives go on without you But nothing is the same We have to hide our heartache When someone speaks your name Sad are the hearts that love you Silent are the tears that fall Living our lives without you Is the hardest part of all We will miss you "Mom" "My" "Big My" A private family service will be held.
