Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROMESH CHANDRA JOSHI Romesh Chandra Joshi, 78, of Winnipeg, Manitoba passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 17, 2013. Romesh leaves behind his beloved wife Kanta; loving children Deepak (Denise), Niraj (Vijay) and Vikas (Stephanie); adoring grandchildren Kabir, Manisha, Branden, Jarod and Ryan; brothers Satish and Prem (Sarla); sister Renu (Satinder); brother-in-law Laj Sharma (Savitri); sisters-in-law Anu Joshi, Nirmala Sharma, Oma Devi Sharma; numerous nieces, nephews and a very large extended family. Romesh was predeceased by his parents Rishi Ram and Lal Devi Joshi, brother Yoginder Joshi, his sisters-in-law Sontosh Joshi, Ram Dulari Agnihotri, and brother-in-law Devinder Sharma. Romesh was born in the town of Jullunder, India in 1935. His mischievous joking nature was apparent from a very young age, which would often land him in trouble and he found himself sent to the corner of the classroom to stand on one foot. It was this mischievousness and good humour which made him so lovable and allowed him to develop lasting friendships immediately. After his father's death he joined the Royal Indian Air Force along with serving in UN peace keeping in the Congo. Romesh immigrated to Canada in 1969 and was joined by his family in 1970. He retired after 34 years of service at Bristol Aerospace in 2003. Romesh was a good and honourable man, steadfast, gentle, kind, faithful and forward thinking. He enriched all of our lives, we will miss him deeply and will love him always. "The great secret of true success, of true happiness, is this: the man or woman who asks for no return, the perfectly unselfish person, is the most successful." - Swami Vivekananda. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg, Manitoba.
