DENNIS ANDRE JOHN CUPERUS It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dennis Andre John Cuperus, aged 72 years, of Matlock, Manitoba, on November 18, 2013. Dennis will be lovingly remembered by his wife Linda (nee Fowler) Cuperus of 49 years; his daughter Susan, his son Ken, and daughter-in-law Michelle. He will also be fondly remembered by his five grandchildren, Brianna, Kaylyn, Calvin, Parker and Logan; as well as his brother Dirk and his sister-in-law Elizabeth, and, of course, his beloved dog Snowy. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 23 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, we welcome donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3T 0R3. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

Dennis was a childhood friend of Jules living in Powerview Manitoba. Dennis's wife Linda was Joyce's best friend since grade nine in Churchill High School. We always say we would never have met if it wasn't for Dennis & Linda. Linda was already going out with Dennis in 1963 and asked me to go with her to see The Everley Brothers at the Winnipeg Arena. We took the city bus to the arena and there was a gang in from Powerview/Pine Falls which included Jules & even his Mother was there. That was the first time we met and so quickly we fell in love, got engaged and married. Joyce was the maid-of-honour at their wedding. Dennis & Linda were the Godparents of our daughter Cathy. We were the Godparents of their daughter Sue-Lynn. We were very best friends for years. He is going to be missed by everyone especially his family. God Bless you Dennis.
