Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET POPE Peacefully, on Friday, November 29, 2013, Margaret passed away at Riverview Health Centre. Margaret will be greatly missed by her family Tony, Tim (Linda), Mark (Bev), Tarra Pope-Savoie (Bruce) and grandchildren Alex, Lindsay, Evan, Cailyn, Rhyan and Ashtyn. Margaret was born in Biddenden, Kent, England on July 31, 1938. Married to Tony in 1957. Immigrated to Canada in January 1967 with two young boys in tow. In 1969 the family was completed with the arrival of their daughter. Margaret was immensely proud of her children and their accomplishments, and always took an interest in their lives. She adored and loved her grandchildren who she enjoyed spoiling. Margaret and Tony have lived in many different places including: Weston, Point du Bois, Maples, Riverbend, Springfield, Transcona, Tyndal Park, West Kildonan, Sandy Hook, and finally West Kildonan. From 1975 to July 1982, Margaret worked at the Grace Hospital, both as a switchboard operator, and later in medical records after upgrading her skills. In the 1980s, she worked at Concordia Hospital, CancerCare Manitoba and a local oral surgeon. Margaret had a passion for animals, both domestic and wildlife. Along with Tony, she dedicated many years to wildlife rescue, and fostering for several local shelters. The family would like to thank Dr. St. Goddard and the staff of 3E, Riverview Health Centre for their exceptional care of mum and the entire family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Margaret's memory to: Hull's Haven Border Collie Rescue or HHBCR, in care of 88 McAdam St., Winnipeg, Manitoba R2W 0A4. She will always be part of Tony

MARGARET POPE Peacefully, on Friday, November 29, 2013 at the Riverview Health Centre, Margaret Pope, aged 75 years, of Winnipeg, loving spouse of Tony. In keeping with her wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at the Winnipeg Beach Community Cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
