JOSEPH ROXAS PLANAS February 20, 1945 - November 29, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Roxas Planas on Friday, November 29, 2013, at Seven Oaks General Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Remedios Planas, his son Jojo (Aireen) Planas of Winnipeg, Manitoba, his daughter Josephine (Dana) LaRocque of Haverhill, Massachusetts, USA, grandchildren Jay, Pia, Mia and Jana, and the family pet Ash. He was predeceased by his parents Catalina and Joseph Planas Sr., his brother and brother-in-law. Papa Seph was born on February 20, 1945 in Manila, Philippines. He moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 4, 1993 with his family. He was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will also be remembered by his siblings, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from Canada and the Philippines. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff of Seven Oaks General Hospital, as well to the staff of Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. Lamay / Viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 commencing at 6:00 p.m. at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. Prayer Vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. at Mosaic Funeral Chapel on Tuesday evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St. Rev. Monsignor Enrique Samson Jr. celebrant. Cremation will follow the funeral mass.
