Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLARRY WILLIAM MEISNER With sorrow in our hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Larry Meisner on December 3, 2013, on the farm, at the age of 66 years. He is now eternally at peace. Larry was born on October 18, 1947 and married Marlene Drewlo on July 6, 1974. Larry and Marlene ranched on Peonan Point with Wayne and Eleanor Meisner until 1979. They moved to Moosehorn in the fall where they all ran a dairy farm until 2000. Larry continued to enjoy working with cattle on the farm until his passing. Over the years Larry was active in the church. He served the Lord by being on church council, singing in the choir, ringing the bell and being church treasurer. His faith and family were most important in his life. Larry was also actively involved in many other community organizations and activities. Larry loved to spend time with friends and had a great love of music. In recent years Larry and Marlene spent as much time travelling as they could. To them the best times were when they managed to combine the music with the travelling. Remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife Marlene of 39 years, children Leroy (Holly), grandsons Draven and Decklen; Rhonda (Wayne), grandchildren Amelia, Brooke and Peyton. Also remaining is his brother-in-law Roy, siblings Barbara (Wayne), Robert (Odette), Janis (Walter), Douglas (Loretta), Melvin (Kelly) and Deryl (Patty), mother-in-law Irene Drewlo, brother-in-law Raymond (Brenda), sister-in-law Judy (Lloyd), numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends. He was predeceased by his parents William and Mathilda, sisters Marline and Sharon, cousin and farming partner Wayne (Eleanor currently residing in Winnipeg) brother-in-law Clifford, sister-in-law Janice and great-nephew Andrew. A celebration of Larry's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Moosehorn Community Hall with Pastor Erwin Tippel officiating. Interment will be held at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Grahamdale, MB at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, a donation in Larry's memory can be made to the Peace Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Box 68, Moosehorn, MB R0C 2E0 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. www.heartandstroke.mb.ca. The news of Larry's passing came as a shock to us. We learned to love Larry at the Drewlo Reunion this past summer. He worked tirelessly for months before the event as well as during The Drewlo Reunion. He left us all with personal warmth and friendliness that apparently he was well known for. Larry will truly be missed, even by those of us far away. How good to know that he had a strong faith in the God who redeems and will some day provide for a physical resurrection. So we will see you again Larry! Our hearts feel the loss with you Marlene and your family and our prayers are with you in your sorrow. We love you. - Posted by: Donovan & Phyllis Drewlo (friend and relative) on: Jan 01, 2014

Larry was a wonderful person who shared his faith openly and respectfully. I remember his gentleness and compassion. He was the most congenial treasurer I have ever worked with. My heart is sad along with you Marlene. I hold you in my prayers. Pastor Kolleen - Posted by: Pastor Kolleen Karlowsky-Clark (former pastor) on: Dec 11, 2013

My deepest sympathy to you Marlene and to your family. Larry was a very kind, friendly man with a great sense of humor. It is sad that he had to leave this world when he should have still had so many years with you. My heart truly goes out to you, and please know you are in my thoughts. - Posted by: Ingrid Koch (Friend) on: Dec 09, 2013

Larry was happy and helpful at his farm for the Drewlo Reunion. He was never too busy to share information about the family to everyone who asked. He worked tirelessly to accommodate all the guests who traveled from near and far. Our deepest sympathy to Marlene and all the Meisner family. Thanks for the love you gave to us at the reunion. - Posted by: Len and Vivian Scramstad (Drewlo relatives) on: Dec 09, 2013

I first met Larry when I was working in the PCH where his mom was a resident. Larry and Marlene and I became good friends, actually at one point he became my number 1 son. We had many laughs over that story. I wish to convey my deepest sympathy to Marlene and all the Meisner family. He was a wonderful man and he will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Sharon Benedictson (Family friend) on: Dec 07, 2013
