LOUIS STEINKE It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Louis Steinke on Friday, December 6, 2013, at the Victoria Hospital, at the age of 91 years. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Dorothy and his sons, Michael Leclair (Penny) and Tim Litke, grandchildren, Maureen Pridham (Vic), Scott Leclair (Jamie), Michelle Leclair (Joel) and Kevin Leclair, great-grandchildren, Todd Pridham and Farrah Leclair. Also remembering him are his sisters, Emma Gruenke, Martha Ganski and Ida Kowal, sisters-in-law, Linda Steinke, Norma Steel (Lyle) and Audrey Amo from Ottawa, brother-in-law, Warren Timlick (Doreen) and many nieces and nephews. Lou was predeceased by his daughters, Nancy Steinke and Diane Hohn, and brothers, Gus Reinhold and Fred Steinke. Lou was born on November 5, 1922 in Emerson, MB. He worked on the family farm and was later employed by the Department of National Defence as a carpenter. Lou was a handy man and enjoyed helping seniors and family with small jobs. He also loved gardening and spent many hours at his garden at Agape Villa. Lou had many friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. In keeping with Lou's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at Coutu Funeral Chapel on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., 680 Archibald Street, reception to follow. In keeping with Louis' wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street.
