LILLIAN MCLEAN It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lillian, our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She peacefully slipped away into God's rest on December 11, 2013 at the age of 98. She was loved by her children Wendy, Donald, Bonnie, her grandchildren Michael, Shannon, Teagan, Tiffany, Ben and Jon, great-grandchildren Brianna and Brett, and special friends Gini and Mary Ann and so many nieces and nephews who were all so special to her. Family meant everything to Mom and we are held together by her love. She was the last of a family of five sisters and two brothers who grew up in West Kildonan. She raised her family in St. Vital and worked for the City of Winnipeg in the taxation department. She enjoyed a long retirement in her condo in St. Vital apartment at Meadowood Towers, and for the last few years in West Park Manor where she received excellent and loving care. Thanks so much to all the staff there. You are the best. Mom taught us to find humour in everyday things and she loved a good joke. Many generations loved her stories of woodland animals. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends wish to honour Mom's memory she would have liked donations to Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 0R3. Funeral Service will be held on December 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home and Cemetery. Life is not forever- Love is Don't mourn too long my children Rejoice in the memories past, I've gone to join others I'm going home at last. Wendy, I am so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. She was a wonderful friend to my Mom for many years. My Mom was so happy to reconnect with Lil as neighbours on Pulberry Street and I have fond memories of living next door to your family on Cunnington Avenue. Please pass along my condolences to your brother and sister. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. With sympathy, Sheila Dickson (nee Drennan) - Posted by: Sheila Dickson (Family friend) on: Dec 15, 2013

Lil was a great lady and definitely one of a kind. I remember her for her big heart and kindness for everyone. I remember hot chocolate on a cold winter night. I can hear her laugh today, as I remember her. She was a wonderful mother. She loved her family and extended family. She will be missed. - Posted by: Judi Broeska (Mother-in-law, friend) on: Dec 14, 2013
